Alexandra Rose Reith is a stunningly brilliant, beautiful software engineer who works for what was Lotus but is now IBM. When Alex isn't working long hours in IBM's Westford location she indulges in one of her many passions, the three most popular ones being cooking, computer programming, and theoretical mathematics. Other hobbies inlude writing poetry, doing puzzles, and being a do-it-yourself handywoman.

Alex and I met while both working on the Landfish Project headed by my brother Owen and my brother Deqlan's roomate Paco (whose real name is Justin). Alex was part of the Tech department while I was part of the Art department, and while the project was winding down she asked me to a company party at the Peabody Essex Museum in Salem. We've been together ever since.

While one might think that a relationship between an orderly tech-head and messy artist would be doomed to disaster. While we have had our dissagreements, as all couples do, we have found that our weaknesses are compensated by the other's strengths. So after about a year of dating and realizing that we are better together than apart, she took the initiative and asked me to marry her (later, I asked her to marry me). This is just one example of another characteristic of Alex: how she has never let her being a woman dictate her behavior or limit her in any way, and is one of the many reasons I fell deeply in love with her.
